Dóra Juhász creates large-scale abstract paintings defined by recurring oval forms that emerge within expansive, often monochromatic fields. Repeated in seemingly ordered yet subtly shifting arrangements, these forms balance structure and fluidity, intention and chance. Her intuitive painting process remains open to accidents and unexpected transformations, allowing each composition to evolve with an almost organic rhythm.
At the core of Juhász’s practice is the idea of emergence—the moment when form materializes from emptiness and begins to hold presence, energy, and potential. Her paintings evoke natural processes without directly representing them, creating meditative spaces in which repetition, movement, and the tension between void and form become central. Juhász studied at Chelsea College of Art in London before graduating from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest. She is also a co-founding artist of Budapest Art Factory.
